Honorable Dian Grueneich
Commissioner
California Public Utilities Commission

Dian M. Grueneich was appointed to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in January 2005 and unanimously confirmed by the State Senate in May for a six year term. Commissioner Grueneich is a nationally recognized expert in energy and environmental issues, with over 30 years of experience in the field.  At the CPUC, she focuses on energy efficiency, transmission planning and permitting, climate change, renewable energy resources, and low income consumer issues. Prior to her appointment, Commissioner Grueneich served as a Board member of the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy and is a past-President of the California League of Conservation Voters.  She is a graduate of Stanford University and holds a J.D. from Georgetown University.

Rod Janssen
Member of the Board
European Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (eceee)

Mr. Janssen has been an independent energy and environment consultant since 1988, based in Paris and London.  Before that Rod worked the International Energy Agency (IEA) in the 1980s. For several years, Rod was the European Commission’s senior advisor in energy efficiency policy. Rod has authored reports monitoring progress on energy efficiency, and particularly the buildings sector.  Most recently, Rod has been following the recast of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive for eceee.

Mustafa Kemal Buyukmihci

Mustafa Kemal Buyukmihci obtained his masters degree in mechanical engineering and has worked at different public and private sector organizations as a research specialist, project manager, head of department and general director. Currently, he has been working at the Electrical Power Resources Survey and Development Administration as General Director since 2003. Mustafa has experience in performance-based management systems, industrialization and technology transfer methods, project and risk management and strategic planning and technology assessment methods under R & D.


Erdal Calikoglu
Deputy General Director
Electrical Power Resources Survey and Development Administration

Erdal Calikoglu is a mechanical engineer and has been studying EE and RES for the DG of Electrical Power Resources Survey and Development Administration since 1986. He has experience in energy audits, policies and strategies on energy and EE. He has attended training programs on EE in Turkey and also in other countries. Erdal has expertise in development and management of projects and programs in the Energy Efficiency sector. Lastly, he has been working on the development of EE and RES strategy and legislation in Turkey.


Oliver Griffith
Managing Director
American Chamber of Commerce in France (AmCham)

Oliver Griffith joined the American Chamber of Commerce in France (AmCham) as Managing Director in 2007.  AmCham unites over 400 American and French firms to foster a positive business climate, and is a partner and point of reference for governments, associations, and the media. 

Prior to joining AmCham, Mr. Griffith was a U.S. diplomat, serving in Rwanda, the Central African Republic, Trinidad, Uruguay, Guatemala, Venezuela and Germany, mostly in economic or commercial positions.  From 1999-2002, after a year at the Ecole Nationale d’Administration, he was Deputy Economic Counselor at the US Embassy in Paris, where he handled the telecoms/IT, energy, development and defense sectors.  Aside from ENA, Mr. Griffith studied at Wesleyan University, New England Conservatory, New York University Stern Business School, and the National Foreign Affairs Training Center.

Gene McGlynn
Senior Expert, Energy Efficiency
Energy Charter Secretariat

Gene McGlynn is Senior Expert in Energy Efficiency at the Energy Charter Secretariat in Brussels.  Gene works with his 51 member countries in developing and implementing energy efficiency strategies and policies, including through cross-cutting analytic studies and reviews of national experiences.  Prior to this, Gene was Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency with the Australian Government, managing energy efficiency policies in buildings, appliances, industry and transport.


Honorable Philip D. Moeller
Commissioner
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)

Commissioner Philip D. Moeller was sworn into office on July 24, 2006, for a term expiring June 30, 2010. Mr. Moeller served as an energy policy advisor to U.S. Senator Slade Gorton (R-Washington). Prior to joining Senator Gorton’s staff, he served as the Staff Coordinator for the Washington State Senate Committee on Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications.  Before becoming a Commissioner, Mr. Moeller headed the Washington, D.C., office of Alliant Energy Corporation.
