Randall Bowie grew up in the U.S. and in Europe but has European roots. After completing his studies of Chemistry and Economics at the University of Illinois, he moved to Sweden to continue graduate school at the University of Stockholm. He worked for many years for the Swedish ministries of finance, industry, and energy, and the Swedish Energy Agency before joining DG Energy & Transport of the European Commission (then called DG 17) in 1996. He was one of the driving forces at the Commission behind the Buildings Directive, the Energy End-use Efficiency and Energy Services Directive, and the Energy Efficiency Action Plans. In 2007 he left the Commission for a chief consultancy position at Rockwool International A/S, stationed currently in Denmark and in Brussels. |

Tom Arnold is VP, Energy Efficiency & Carbon Solutions at EnerNOC, Inc. where he leads an internal team focused on helping commercial customers reduce energy costs without capital upgrades. Prior to EnerNOC, Tom was the founder and Chief Environmental Officer of TerraPass, a nationally recognized greenhouse gas management firm where he was instrumental in creating the market for voluntary carbon offsets. Tom has appeared in the New York Times, NPR, WIRED, and CNN with Glenn Beck.

From 2000 to 2005 Pascal was the marketing and development director of Isover, the insulation activity of Saint-Gobain, for France and until 2007, for Western Europe. Pascal has been strongly involved in the promotion of very low energy buildings in France and his past work experience includes marketing and management consulting in the consumer goods and construction industries. Pascal holds a master degree in management from ESCP-EAP in Paris, France, and a post degree in communication.

Dr. David Fisher, the visionary architect and creator of the Dynamic Tower, the world's first building in motion, began his career in Florence, Italy. He graduated with honors in Architecture from the University of Florence and later became a lecturer of Architecture and Structural Engineering there. TIME Magazine selected the Dynamic Tower as one of the Best Inventions of 2008, and Dr. David Fisher was awarded The 2008 World Architect of the Year by the Developers and Builders Alliance. His other projects include: the New York office of Fiteco Ltd., the “Smart Marble Bathroom”, along with many others. For the last three decades he has been passionately approaching architecture to exist in harmony with nature, as well as redefining the technical and technological extremes of buildings.

Ken Mentzer is President and CEO of the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) and an active member of business, professional, energy and environmental organizations. Has served as a Trustee of the ASHRAE Foundation; the Boards of the NASEO and NAM; and is President of the National Home Performance Council. He is a member of The Asia-Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate and represents industry at the UNFCCC. |
